Fifty feet from
Carnegie Hall and near Central Park South and all midtown hotels,
The Redeye Grill derives its name from the infamous late-night
flight linking America’s two cultural hubs. The fusion
of the two coasts is present both in this grand café’s
interior design and its menu. The centerpiece of the restaurant
is the fabulous dancing shrimp, sushi and raw bar – bookended by two giant bronze dancing shrimp sculptures
specially crafted in Italy.
Floor-to-ceiling columns are painted with New York scenes by New York and California
artists, and a giant mural depicting Hollywood greats carousing in a saloon marks
the beginning of the California Room.
